After 4 months of waiting, I finally got to have an in-person visit with my girl (masked up and outside in the Washington sun)! The wait has felt so long. I’m thankful for technology and the connection it provides, but there’s nothing that replaces in-person connection. Proximity matters.
I’m thankful she’s placed in a home with family members that love her + keep her safe. I’m thankful that she’s developing the way a healthy 4-year-old should. I’m thankful she has the case worker I wish I would’ve had (she’s seriously phenomenal, guys). I’m thankful her mother is transforming before the eyes of all of us who are cheering her on. Most of all, I’m thankful this precious girl is held in the palm of His hands.
When I look into her bright blue eyes, I see hope. I see her hope for a restored home. I see His hope that has her best in mind. I see my hope that every foster child/youth will know the significance of their life, the worth they’ve been made with, and the great love He has for them. In the midst of this ever-changing time, hope is never canceled.
Getting to advocate for her is a privilege I never could’ve imagined for myself. I ran from anything foster care related. I tried to hide from my past. But when I laid the pain at His feet in desperation, He turned my pain into a passion. He can do the same with yours.
I’m continually moved by all of you who ask about her and pray for her. It takes a village. Thank you for being part of hers.

OPEN: Thursday (July 16th) from 9am to 6pm, One Weekend day (to be determined)
(Info about covid changes below)
*credit and debit cards accepted and encouraged
Alrighty we are opening up this weekday/weekend for early variety picking! Our only variety currently is Weymouth, they are a sweet variety that is said to have a hint of lavender! Just a reminder that picking early in the season is different than picking at later times of the season, this picking is not as heavy as peak season picking. We look forward to seeing everyone this season😄
The farm is working to make changes to protect our precious pickers! Masks will be required outside of field, but while picking will not be required.
Currently we will not be providing pickers with buckets or be walking them out to the field. Instead, we will hand out individual boxes for pickers or you may bring your own buckets (just check in to get them weighed beforehand so you don’t pay for them too 👍) Additionally, we print out maps of the field to help direct pickers to the varieties available as well as give advice, so pickers will have the easier time finding BLUE blueberries.
To help combat spread between customers we will wipe down, throw out, or quarantine everything touched after each customer. We also (finally) will be accepting Debit and Credit cards this year, so we encourage you to use them. However, cash is still accepted as well.
Our workers will wear be required to wear a mask while working and gloves, they will sanitize their gloves between each customer.
We are trying our best to open the farm up to everyone this year and we hope people enjoy their time picking. If you have anymore questions about open hours or Covid precautions please feel free to comment, DM, email, or call us.
