SPRING IS ARRIVING IN THE UK & IN OUR STUDIO 🌷 The sun is peeping it’s head for a 2nd day in a row and it sure gets our spirits up. Sunshine boosts our happy hormone (serotonin) making us feel happy, calm & alert AND that is exactly how the team is feeling at Nubodi. Our girls giving Beyoncé energy ⚡️ A version of Swan Dive on the Reformer executed beautifully. Nubodi is curated on intentional movements performed with precision & integrity. NUBODI TRAVELS LONDON PILATES STUDIOS 💃🏼 We had the best day ever exploring some of London Pilates hot spots. Our first stop was @nobupilatesofficial which was a truly beautiful location. We were booked for Lower Body Precision and we definitely had our 🍑 targeted. It was also really fun to experience the chair alongside the reformer in a 60 minute class! Next we tried @heartcorelife in Bayswater. This again was stunning interior and they had designed their own reformers which were very sleek and gave lots of opportunities for new ideas. We definitely left feeling inspired 🪩 Our final stop was @absolutestudios which had a lovely feel to it. A solid strong class targeting the whole body 👌🏼 At this point we still only had coffee/ hot chocolate in our tummies so we in desperate need of a snack which boosted us for some shopping on Oxford Street 🇬🇧 LOVED this day but definitely memo to self bring snacks. How to ACCELERATE your results on the Reformer? 1. Avoid zoning out 😴 Pilates really requires you to pay attention to the movement at hand. What you should be feeling, where you should be moving from etc. Listening to your teachers cues can be really beneficial. We are not just here to keep you safe but our cues are there to tell you HOW to activate your muscles more deeply and as a result MORE RESULTS! 💪🏼 2. Quality over quantity. 10 GOOD reps is 100 x more beneficial than 50 BAD reps 🤓 3. Don’t rush. The reformer springs are really important and they can contribute massively to your improved strength. The biggest mistake we see is the springs to fast and/ or crashing the carriage. We like to think you are only doing half the workout if you aren’t controlling the Reformer! P.s don’t worry about crashing the Reformer every now and again we all do it! 🏃‍♀️ 4. Don’t be afraid to speak up. If an exercise isn’t feeling good it is likely not benefiting you. We are always more than happy to change an exercise or reduce spring load 🪩 5. Appropriate clothing. Sticky socks are great for your safely on the reformer but also suitable clothing. Baggy items can sometimes make it harder for the teacher to see your alignment and therefore can’t provide as much assistance or form tips to help you improve! 🧦 What you do you think of these top tips!? A little show of what you can experience at Nubodi Pilates 🪩 Reformer Burn - a high intensity class focusing on some of the advanced work of Pilates, fitness & endurance. Everything is grounded in the Pilates Principles but we explore and play with new ways to move. Dynamic Reformer - a step up from our fundamental class where you can continue to develop your practice and get a feel for some more challenges. Fundamental Reformer - our most popular on the timetable. A class wholly focused on building those blocks for success. We go over everything in detail, care & enthusiasm (as we do in all our classes). A wonderful paced class. Privates - 1-2-1 tuition which is 1000% dictated my your needs. Are you tired today? Does our body need release work? Are we recovering post op? I want to perfect my advanced repertoire! It’s literally an hour for you from us. Pre/ Post Natal (not shown)- every Thursday 10am run by our very own specialist @liafrankish ALL babies are welcome. We have toys, play mats & bouncers. A relaxed environment to focus on the mothers journey and recovery. Spaces are limited to 6 so everyone can have individual attention/ babies aren’t overwhelmed! Hay new clients 🌟🎉 BIG WELCOME to the Nubodi family. It’s a space full of positivity and good vibes. With lots of fabulous new faces we thought we would go over how to get started! 💪🏼 - if you are a total beginner we often run beginner workshops to help you feel at ease when joining a class setting. We go over the reformer, the principles of Pilates and a basic class to feel if it’s for you! 🧦 👖- we encourage wearing grippy socks for the safety of you when moving around the reformer. You can purchase these in the studio for convenience. Also always wear comfy fitness attire so you can feel confident while enjoying your class. 🧘🏼‍♀️- we have 3 levels of classes so there is something suitable for everyone. Plus we offer privates and a small group post natal class where babies are welcomed with very open arms every Thursday 10am 🧬 - our team is highly trained and experienced holding qualifications from renowned schools and also additional studies in rehab, pre and post natal fitness and Barre. ⏰ - please try arrive 5 minutes before your class (also guarentees you get your favourite reformer 😉 we all know you have one!) 🚫 - we have a 24 hour policy and often have very busy waitlists so if you can’t make your slot we are able to offer it to someone else! 💙- biggest one is have fun.
