If you know you know… studs and hairnets are the worst!!! Huggies (small hoops) are really the best for us horse girls because the hairnets never get tangled! So to have some fun at WEF, @la.enovese.designs and @ellsworthofficial_ are having an event this Sunday during WEF11 from 10am-1pm to show some new Huggies, hairnet demonstrations, and a Sunday funday treat!! 🍦🤍 come say hi to me!!

WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO WEAR THE SILK SCARF?! 🧣✨ 1. HALTER VEST: fold scarf diagonally to create a large triangle. Take the 2 points of the short end of the triangle and wrap it around your neck over the collar (buttoned all the way up) of your blouse! Take the two remaining points and wrap around and tie in back. Untuck blouse and unbutton bottom for a fashion-forward but professional vibe! 2. ONE SIDED SHAWL: fold scarf in half to create a large triangle. Take the midline of the triangle and set it on one shoulder with the points going off your shoulder and down your one arm. Slide the midline down towards the front of the shirt so the majority of the scarf lies on the front of the blouse. Take the smaller section at the back of the blouse and wrap it around your neck under the collar of the blouse. Feed through the button hole and knot to hold in place. Take the scarf in front and place it over two top bottons of the blouse and button in place. Tuck in the shirt and scarf. This is super chic and preppy look! 3. BELT: this is of the easiest ways to incorporate a scarf into your outfit, plus it instantly adds character and femininity to any basic outfit. Fold in half and bring the he corner of the triangle toward the long side of triangle and start folding the scarf into a long belt shape. Thread through loops (or over blouse at waist if you aren’t wearing pants with belt loops) and knot in place. 4. NECK TIE: another easy but sophisticated and nautical addition to any basic look. Fold the same way as the belt but wrap around neck and inside of blouse. Knot in place at any tightness depending on desired look. 5. HALTER: Fold scarf into large triangle. Take the shorter corners and tie around neck. (You can also tie those two corners together and then wrap around your neck and knot in place for a different style neckline!) take the remaining corners and tie in place in back. You can also fold the front material under before you tie off for a more cropped style. Wear the blouse open or slightly buttoned but off the shoulders for an effortless vacation vibe.

😆 Ok there’s really only a couple things, but there used to be a bigger difference in equestrian fashion between the two coasts. I think social media and more riders showing in both locations has made the fashion trends more similar! Here are my observations lately between California & Florida equestrian fashion, specifically at WEF & Desert Showgrounds: HEAD & FACE- •helmet visors are worn everywhere now but I still think I see them more in CA! •out of the saddle, more FL equestrians wear wide brim sun hats than in CA •both locations equally wear baseball caps, and almost no one is seen without a hat on! •more riders in CA wear sunglasses while then are riding! •neck kerchiefs are definitely more on trend in CA, both laying under chin as neck protection but also up over chin and nose for sun protection and it gets pretty dusty! TOPS- •mock neck tops continue to be one of the most popular riding top styles, worn a bit more in FL than in CA. •the overall vibe in FL for tops/outwear is a bit more formal than in CA (I’ve seen more loose casual blouses as riding tops in CA than in FL, cashmere sweaters in both) •Floridians are wimpy and wear 600 layers in the morning in both CA and FL (aka me lol 😆) •collared tops and 1/4 zip tops have become slightly less popular in both locations BELTS- •haven’t seen a big difference between locations! Both elastic and leather Hermés and Gucci are the most popular. BREECHES- •Very similar popular brands and styles in both locations. Dada, Equiline, Cavalleria Toscana, and For Horses are the ones I see the most. GLOVES- •gloves are worn slightly more consistently both while riding and on the ground in CA. •more riders show without gloves in FL than in CA. What else?! Have you noticed other differences? Let me know if you want me to compare anything else (ie. Brand specific, colors, staff/grooms, barn set up, boots/footwear, viiiiibes!, showgrounds, etc!) ✍🏻 it has been so fun and refreshing to venues and see how the equestrian fashion and lifestyle varies from place to place. 🌎🐴
