MEAR ONE

For my next journey I’ve come to a remote craggy outcrop here in central Utah called the Rochester Art Panel that sits majestic at the end of a natural elevated highway. The ancient graffiti found here reads like a history book, a collection of gnosis from the old world that tells of tales yet to be deciphered by man. A magnificent rainbow draws the drifter closer into an unfolding narrative full of mega fauna, abundance & other horned deities. Like some mythical firmament etched in stone, Shambala or Eden, a paradise lost. The desert’s beauty is in stark contrast to the catastrophic events which scraped clean this barren landscape, leaving behind the bones of a prehistoric ecosystem. These petroglyphs hidden throughout the southwest share what I believe is a global language in psychic/symbolic form very different from our phonetic speak. There is an amazing life that has been purposefully hidden from our knowing to keep us under the spell of consumerism & apathy. Deeper knowledge of our world is shared in increments only when it benefits the gatekeepers. There is so much we don’t understand, so it is with great curiosity & willpower I explore these questions through the metaphysical lens. This Spring Equinox offering is a narrative duo from two of my deeper journeys inward during altered states of mind. The renewal of life is a cyclical rhythm I am interested in understanding. These artworks explore the patterns of time & reincarnation as well lineage, trajectory & revelation. I have experienced moments where I felt dead & in these times it seems the more important psychedelic nutrients are formed. These fruits of the gods I find are awaiting my ingestion for heavy insights into the grand universe - immense infinite space filled with atomized microcosms, woven fractals & wormholes burrowing into every quark & nuance. Fields, DAOM is a renowned integrative specialist, published author, martial arts instructor, keynote speaker, artist, and plant medicine advocate who focuses on functional medicine, psychedelics, mental health, acupuncture, and longevity. Robyn Faith Walsh is an Associate Professor at the University of Miami who earned her Ph.D. at Brown University in Religions of the Ancient Mediterranean, with a focus on early Christianity, ancient Judaism, and Roman archaeology.

I was at a mountain festival years back when I started live painting on this piece I call “Planet X,” exploring its mythos & the world it derived from. I was inspired by the writings of early 20th century catastrophist #ImmanuelVelikovsky & his revolutionary perspectives on cosmology & advanced prehistoric forms of civilization across the planet that all share similar creation myths as well language, architecture & mathematics. Velikovsky suggests that it was in this golden age that our solar system came to be under quite different circumstances than the official narrative would have us believe. An age when man walked this earth alongside other giant humanoid beings with elongated skulls we called Gods. In his book “The 12th Planet” #ZechariaSitchin famously translates ancient Sumerian cuneiform tablets lost for over 4,000 years, revealing for the first time this incredible evolutionary history - a tale more like Star Wars than Cave Man. According to Vedic scholars humankind is now at a point of devolution, descending from what was once a very high state in consciousness. Within the last century we have hit the bottom of this Kali Yuga cycle & are experiencing trauma as we begin our ascension back to the golden state of being. I am motivated by this current need to revolutionize, recontextualize, reconceptualize our take on myth, history, philosophy, life in order to dream bigger.
