It feels SO GOOD to be eating ice cream again with the sun shining on our faces. We had a record breaking sales weekend in both Larkspur and Seattle. THANK YOU for your continued love and support of this small business. We absolutely love celebrating with you! What is your “go-to” flavor this March?

As you all know, ingredients MATTER to us. And because of our high quality standards, we often (and gladly!) have to make everything ourselves. Our waffle cones are no exception. For 8 years, we have been making our gluten-free maple vanilla waffle batter from scratch in our kitchen multiple times a week. Most other ice cream shops open a bag of pre-made flour mix, and add water. The smell from their shops comes from artificial flavors in their waffle cone mix. And, they are charging slightly less than we do for a far inferior product 🤔 At Frankie & Jo’s we bloom flax seeds overnight, and mix them with fluffy brown sugar, creamy vegan butter, @ruggedridgejosh Vermont maple syrup , gluten-free oat flour, sea salt, and real vanilla. THAT IS IT. Our waffle cones are like a warm crunchy vanilla cookie, and the perfect addition to compliment any of 13 flavors. Now you know!

Introducing: Ready to Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - now on the PCC shelves. No dairy. No gluten. No eggs. We know you all LOVE our fully baked Chocolate Chip Cookies that we sell by the 4-pack and as the star of our Cookie Milk Magic Sandwiches. And, now you can have them fresh from your home oven. We can’t wait for you to try them! Pro tip: because they are vegan, you can also snack on them raw.

Thank you so much for the outpouring of positive responses last week as we announced our change from monthly seasonals to quarterly seasonals. As a small independently owned business, we are fortunate to have the ability to be nimble and are grateful for your generous support. As many of you know, we launched the BEST vegan soft serve on the planet last Summer. This soft serve is extremely unique and touts the cleanest ingredient label we have ever seen in our research. Because we will never use gums or stabilizers in our products, we have to sell in *high volume* to serve within its shelf life. Therefore, our Sundae Shop in Ballard will be on a hiatus until this June and will become a June-August offering every Summer. This is to ensure you get the highest quality soft serve from us and have something to look forward to during ice cream eating season! In the meantime, our Spring seasonals are absolutely stunning, and are the perfect way to celebrate the new growth and awakening all around us. What is your favorite flavor so far?

Spring is in the air! And, with that comes 3 new seasonal flavors you know and love. Carrot Cake, For the Love of Lemon, and Mint Cookie Crunch. With this awakening energy comes a big change we have been manifesting for a while. As of today, we are moving to a quarterly flavor launch. This means we will not be launching 3 new flavors every month - instead, we will be launching 3 new seasonals as the seasons change. And in between, we have so many exciting ice creams and secret surprises to share with you. This adjustment does not come lightly for us – we know that some of you may be disappointed. We are craving simplicity in our bones and believe we can achieve higher quality with less quantity. With this change we will have less food waste, better education for our guests, more consistent and higher quality ice cream, and most importantly – you will have our favorite, top selling seasonal flavors for longer. We are so grateful to be on this journey of growth and change with YOU - the very reason for our being. Molten Chocolate Cake is an all-time guest favorite, but this year we elevated the classic. After many requests, made this alternatively sweetened, using coconut sugar throughout. We are thrilled to bring back this ultra-creamy, guest-beloved, majestic pistachio dream. Known for their vibrant green hue, vitamin-rich properties and reputation as a natural sleep aid thanks to their melatonin content, pistachios are the ultimate star of this nourishing, velvety ice cream. To finish, we sprinkle in pieces of salty sweet pistachio-almond fudge throughout, creating an ultra-powerful, vivid pistachio experience. This flavor has a bit of a celestial quality, and trust us - its pure magic.  We’ve received numerous comments about making this a permanent flavor (heard!), and while we ARE planning to update our Everyday menu very soon, we recommend stocking up on this pints while supplies last!

Our Frankie & Jo’s x PCC Spring collaboration is HERE and it is one of our favorite seasonal flavors of all time — Rhubarb Yuzu Yogurt 🌷 We roast beautiful, bright, Washington-grown rhubarb and blend it with our own house-fermented coconut yogurt and fresh yuzu citrus juice to create a tangy, silky-smooth frozen yogurt. Why do we love this flavor? It combines a vegetable (rhubarb), acidity (yuzu juice), and fermentation (our coconut yogurt) — What could be more Frankie & Jo’s than that?
