📷 @emmett_sparling - thousands of sea lions flock to the rich waters of the pacific north west in anticipation for the spring herring spawning event. While you're not allowed to go up to the sea lions because they are protected, there is not much you can do if they come up to you. They are the most curious underwater animals l've ever interacted with. At times, hundreds of sea lions might be swarming around you, chewing on your equipment, blowing bubbles in your face, etc. It can get pretty overwhelming if you're not experienced underwater. On a dive with sea lions a few years ago, I had one playfully chewing on my right arm, another doing the same on my left, one was hugging both my legs so I couldn't move, and one had my entire head in it's mouth... all at the same time. The sea lion chewing on my right arm ended up popping a hole in my drysuit which flooded my whole arm with January's freezing cold sea water.

A perfect mix of a jungle paradise and an eclectic art gallery, @casamalca is one of the most unique stays in Tulum. Casa Malca is located in one most beautiful stretches of Tulum beach and boasts world class artwork tucked all around the premises, including originals from the likes of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Kaws. Our team had an absolute blast spending a few days there and searching for hidden gems around every corner! Thanks for helping make our time in Tulum special @casamalca 🫶 video by: @chadtorkelsen #earthoutdoors

📸 @fameisficklefood - Aerial views of dreamy abstractions abutting the Atlantic in a wild and remote part of the Brazilian coast. An expansive area of undulating sand dunes (the largest in all of South America) carved by rainwater lagoons stand as a testament to the raw power of nature's craftsmanship. It's truly one of the wildest (and one of my favorite) places on Earth where the rhythmic dance of wind, water, and sand creates a landscape that seems to exist in a realm of its own #earthoutdoors

@zachnicholz - Eye contact. ____________________________________________ I have always wanted to get close enough to an eagle to get a good portrait. Wasn’t until this last time out that one was kind enough to let me get close. This one was only maybe 20 feet away! #earthoutdoors

📸 @braybraywoowoo - 1000 Miles Out… AKA that time @chelseamealo and I got stranded on the island of Mauritius for 6 months 🏝️ A job had brought us to Mauritius early March 2020. Despite expressing concern about traveling in light of developing travel restrictions, the client urged us to go as planned. It took three days to travel around the world from New York to the middle of the Indian Ocean. The day after arriving, we were informed that the island would be closing its airport, the only way on and off the island, for 10 days. Periodically, this 10 days turned to a month, two months and so on resulting in an unexpected six-month stay. Initially, the island was incredibly strict with a police-enforced lockdown. Being trapped abroad tested us both financially and mentally. However, this life-changing experience had a bittersweet ending as we developed deep friendships and love for our little home away from home. This was hands down the most wild experience either of us have ever had. Here’s a random assortment of some photos we snapped during our experience in Mauritius! 🇲🇺 All photos by both @chelseamealo and me 📸 #earthoutdoors

📽️ @wandering.westerner - A lucky snorkeler watching a MASSIVE fever of Mobula Rays glide past him during our trip with @bajarawtours The Mobula migration is in full effect right now down here in Baja. Every year from April to June we get to witness huge congregations of these animals along the shores of the peninsula. It’s truly an incredible thing to see. #earthoutdoors
