A 10-step color grading guide to enhance your editing style! By @cumacevikphoto - Scroll to compare the before and after / "In the first Dolomites photo, I focused on highlighting the moody ambiance and details using Luminar Neo. Here is a break-down of my editing process; you can follow a similar approach to see how my work-flow would affect your landscape images: 1) First, I work with the 'Light' tab. In the development module, I decreased the highlights (-70) and increased the sharpness (+50). 2) Next, I focused on the histogram and created a S-curve. I dropped the highlights slightly and raised the shadows. In addition, I decreased the 'Whites' tab (-5). 3) I then moved to the 'Color' tab and worked on the colors individually: For the blue color, I decreased the Hue (-30), the Saturation (-46), and the Luminance (-25). I moved on to the red color, increased the Hue (+20), and decreased the Saturation (-20). For the orange color, I decreased the Hue (-20) as well as the Saturation (-10) and increased the Luminance (+10). For the greens, I decreased the Hue (-10) and increased the Saturation (+20) and Luminance (+18). As for the cyan color, I increased the Hue (+15). 4) Next, I focused on the 'Details Enhancer' tab. I decreased the 'Small Details' (-10) and 'Medium Details' (-6) and increased the 'Sharpen' tab (+6). 5) I moved to the 'Denoise' tab and increased the Luminosity (+4). 6) After applying all these adjustments, you could see the difference as I adjusted the 'Landscape' tab. I increased the 'Blue Hour' effect (+10) and 'Dehaze' (+63). 7) Finally, I decreased the Amount (-20) on the' Vignette' tab. 8) I also wanted to add a more dramatic sky, and this photo allowed for it. So I used the tool 'Sky'. I used one of the skies available and adjusted it to my liking. 9) I added 'Sun Rays' on the image's left side to increase the scene's mystical ambiance and adjusted it accordingly. 10) After some 'Dodge and Burn,' I went from an underexposed image to a photo that perfectly represents my vision and style!” @cumacevikphoto : What do you think about the result? 🎨 #MadeWithLuminar #LuminarNeo #Dolomites #Italy

Five techniques by @cumacevikphoto to improve your photography, harnessing colors and authenticity! "I dedicated countless hours to painting during my childhood, immersing myself in a world of creativity I cherished. When I discovered photography, I realized that my passion for painting could be a powerful asset in this field. This realization set me on a meaningful path, and I believe the following components played a major role in my growth as a photographer: 1) Seeing photos as canvases: My background in painting enabled me to grasp the nuances of color, greatly benefiting my photography endeavors. When I edit my photos, I visualize each one as an individual canvas. This perspective grants me the freedom to explore and experiment without limitations. 2) Unrestricted creativity: I edit photos according to my preferences and curiosity with this creative liberty. I occasionally create surrealistic images that resonate with me, prioritizing my artistic vision over external opinions. This approach leads to the development of unique and uncharted concepts. 3) Staying true to myself: Authenticity is key. By remaining true to my style and producing distinctive work, it becomes easier for others to share my creations. Uniqueness naturally captures people's attention and enhances the recognition of your artistic identity. This connection often inspires them to support and share your artwork. 4) Building signature palettes: If you have favorite colors or landscapes that resonate with you, incorporate them into your photography and use them to build your style. In my case, I'm drawn to the serene beauty of blue and green colors, complemented by moody weather and Nordic landscapes. 5) Adjusting the tones and hues individually: I avoid using the same colors in every picture. Instead, I maintain consistency in certain characteristics while experimenting with different tones and hues to suit each situation. I strive to find moody settings and then apply vivid colors to create a sense of melancholy or mystery. Doing so can set my work apart while staying true to what I love." 🎨 @cumacevikphoto : Have you ever thought about how you differentiate your work? 📸

Last year, I was fortunate enough to visit the Faroe Islands and witness one of the most stunning sunsets of my life. My workshop group and I embarked on a 1 hour and 30 minute hike through wet and muddy fields to reach the Kallur Lighthouse just before sunset. Despite the challenging terrain, the journey was well worth it. As we approached the lighthouse, we were greeted by the most breathtaking view of the sun setting over the ocean. The tranquil moment was only amplified by the fact that it was just our group, a few more travelers and the lighthouse, making it feel like a truly special experience. I couldn't resist capturing the moment with my camera, and the resulting photos are some of my favorites. Looking back on that experience, I'm reminded of the beauty and wonder that can be found in nature and the importance of taking the time to appreciate it. #MyHeroShot @luminar_global #faroeislands #kallurlighthouse #landscapephotography

Cotswolds! 😍 This area is one of the most beautiful parts of the English countryside. Cotswolds covers 787 square miles (2,038 km2) and, after the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales national parks, is the third-largest protected landscape in England. I have been organising private tours to this beautiful area since April, and everyone who attends is absolutely amazed. If you plan to travel to the #Cotswolds for a day trip or two or three-day trip, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will provide you an unforgettable trip! 🧳🚗
