At our With You(th) In Mind Panel talk last September in Birmingham, teacher and writer @casey_bailey shared invaluable insights.🧠 Aimed at young people aged 17-24, his knowledge resonated deeply and sparked meaningful discussions. A key message of his is the importance to recognise the pressure and stress felt by young people to succeed and the harm that is caused by our education system. Casey brings much needed awareness to the ironic messaging and standards set within education settings and the inevitable negative impact this has on the self-esteem and wellbeing of many young people. You can watch the full panel talk via our YouTube channel! 🔗

There is a lot of power in saying NO. Especially for people pleasers, saying no doesn’t make you a bad person but one who understands their capabilities and simply placing much needed boundaries. @novareidofficial discusses this in more depth during our With You(th) In Mind event in September. Head over to the link in the bio to listen to the full discussion! 🔗

We are turning four this year, we haven't even had the chance to go 'too far' (whatever that means)...🤷🏾‍♂️ The data speaks for itself - people need mental health services. Comments like Mel Stride's, dismissing the severity of mental health challenges by labelling them as 'normal anxieties of life,' are harmful and fail to acknowledge the harsh reality of the mental health crisis in the UK. Instead of downplaying the struggles people face, the government should focus on understanding and supporting them. It's a reminder that as a community, industry, and sector, we still have much work ahead of us. Together, we will get there! 🖤 📃: LBC #mentalhealthmatters

"To those people, I say once more - it is very easy not to care about identity when your own has never once been questioned or held you back." - Vaughan Gething Let's take a moment to focus on the progress, not labels. Vaughan's journey from Zambia to Wales is a story of resilience. When his father secured a job offer near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, it seemed like the dawn of a promising new chapter. However, upon their arrival, the job offer was withdrawn because of the family’s heritage. Undeterred, they settled in Dorset, England, where Vaughan grew up facing challenges. Yet, these experiences fueled his passion for justice and equality. ✊🏾 Fast forward to today, and Vaughan Gething stands tall as Wales' Prime Minister, a shining beacon of progress. Is that not a story that deserves to be celebrated? 🤔 And there is much more to his story! History has been made in Wales with Vaughan Gething becoming the first Black leader of a European country! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 📸: Media Wales #wales #progress

What do you find inspiring? 🤔 That’s a question we asked our panel guests @novareidofficial , @casey_bailey and @suicideandco co-founder, Amelia Wrighton at our With You(th) In Mind event in September. Casey spoke about how as a teacher he finds young people to be inspiring as there is so much hope for change, development and growth within them that we often lose as we get a bit older. We're inspired by the desire among today's youth to understand and address mental health issues. That's why we're thrilled to continue our partnership with The Rare Impact Fund, as part of @rarebeauty_ !!re!!_039;s commitment to raising awareness and improving access to mental health services for young Black people across the UK. Is there something that you find inspiring at the moment? 👇🏾 You can find the full panel talk discussion via our YouTube! 🔗
