Brilliant new beat saber mapping courtesy of @dereknalox123 for our Mortal Kombat end credit song, Techno Syndrome 2021. Brings back happy memories of blown subwoofers and endless iteration of synth patches and snares. So excited for round 2 later this year!!! #mortalkombat

Presenting the captivating original motion picture soundtrack of the movie « The Flash. » Immerse yourself in this musical journey produced by @watertowermusic and composed by the highly acclaimed @benjaminwallfisch , a two-time GRAMMY- and BAFTA-nominated artist. Discover the world of « The Flash » through the evocative melodies and masterful compositions that define this exceptional soundtrack. Included on the Soundtrack are “Worlds Collide,” which features a new theme representing the meshing/coming together of DC eras past and present; “Run,” a restless, searching piano figure, representing Barry’s crisis after losing his mother; and two Batman-related themes—“I Am Batman” and “Sounds About Right, Bruce.” Both Vinyl and CD configurations of the Soundtrack feature 42 tracks with over 80 minutes of music. The triple gatefold sleeve is decorated with album artwork featuring The Flash, Batman and Supergirl. The ‘A Side / B Side’ style records draw from The Flash’s iconic Red and Yellow suit. Color variations and ‘A Side / B Side’ patterns may vary. Still available at our partner record stores! ⚡️

I’d just like to pay a brief tribute to this wonderful man, Tony Gilbert, who I just learned very sadly passed away a couple of days ago. I’m heartbroken about it and send deepest condolences to his family and friends. I was very lucky to have Tony as my composition professor for a little over two years, starting in 1999, and in that short time he completely changed my life. I had two lessons a week with him, one technical and one based on whatever I was writing at the time, all year round including during summer breaks, and boy he was tough. He insisted on 8-10 minutes of new music a week plus a ton of exercises, and was constantly challenging and pushing me to be more ambitious with the writing, always backing up his often quite harsh criticisms of the music with inspiring tools, techniques and suggestions for score study, and never letting anything slip under the radar without a pathway for possible improvement. He was also a great philosopher and taught by asking questions that were often loaded with three or four levels of implication. In short the tools and work ethic he trained me with made everything that followed for me possible and I owe him so much. We stayed firm friends ever since those early years and I’m so glad I got to see him only a few months ago back at the RNCM during the congregation of awards. Thank you for everything Tony, not just for what you gave me, but for your incredible influence and contribution to the musical world and all your students. I will miss you old friend.
